Financial Literacy Training at NKT Girls School

On 26th November 2016, AIF's DE Coordinators conducted an interactive Financial Literacy training for the students of Class 6,7, and 8 at NKT National Girls Higher Secondary School from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. The three hour session saw 500 odd students participating in an interactive learning atmosphere that had lessons about Money handling, Basics of Banking among many. Students did a role play after learning the topics, which enabled them to show their mastery on the topics taught. Best performers were given prizes and all students were provided with snacks.

Teacher's Day Celebrations

Teacher's Day was celebrated in DE schools of Chennai & Coimbatore. The students came out with write ups about their teachers and Teacher's Day. Best write up was presented in school assembly by the students. The students of Chennai Girls High school, Cooks Road, Chennai Higher Secondary School, Virugambakkam, Chennai High School, Kanniyappan Nagar & Chennai High School, Somaiah Nagar shared their views and thanks to the teachers through speech, verse, write ups & songs. In Corporation S.R.P. Ammaniammal Girls Hr. Sec. School, Coimbatore, the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Sivarasu, Corporation Education Officer Mrs. Vasantha and Zonal Coordinator Mr. Alexander participated in the teacher's day celebration. The Deputy Commissioner distributed the prizes to the students.

Students attempt NFLAT examination

1. NFLAT examination was successfully conducted in Chennai and Coimbatore on 9th December, 2016. Out of the 13168 students registered, 9991 students attended the examination.
