Children’s Day celebration was
planned in Coimbatore Corporation schools for Classes 6 to 9 by conducting
various competitions. Preliminary level of Poster Contest for class 6 – “Save
Water Save Earth”, Speech Contest for classes 7 & 8 – “Students role in
growth of India” & Quiz Contest for class 9 – “Awareness on Dengue fever”
were the topics announced to students of 27 schools. Final level competition was
conducted and winners were selected on 5th Nov 2012 by a team of
five Corporation school HMs. Prizes were distributed in the presence of 27
school HMs and the Parents by Mr. T.K. Ponnusamy IAS, Commissioner, Mrs.
Vasantha CEO on 16th Nov 2012.
